Where Do I Come From?
My kid looked with eyes wide opened and said:
"Mommy, where do I come from?"
I looked back into her eyes.
My heart dived into her soul.
Remembering for both of us,
I said what I read
in the depths of her eyes:
"You were with me from eternity.
You were my larva when I was a bee queen.
You were my chrysalis when I was a butterfly.
You were my squab when I was a dove.
You were my cygnet, when I was a swan,
You were my fledgling when I was an eagle.
You were my cub when I was a sow.
You were my fawn when I was a doe.
You were my kitten when I was a cat.
You were my cub when I was a lioness.
You were born in my thoughts.
You played in my dreams.
I worshiped you in my gods.
I loved you in my beloved.
I yearned for your soul.
You blessed me and I blossomed like a peach.
I shed my pink little petals and
Let you grow to be as you are and will be."
