Childbirth is Now
Today is a special day. A friend of mine gave unassisted childbirth to a wonderful big baby boy. Her first contractions started at 3 a.m. They were at first 8 minutes apart, then quickly progressing to 5 and then to 3 minutes.
She intended to have a water birth, but the birth dynamics was quick and she gave birth in a squatting position.
The birth was truly precious. No rush, no interventions, she was pushing and surrendering to the strong waves of delivery.
This was her second childbirth, but the first unassisted one. She intended to make it really happen - and here it is in all its glory. Now she enjoys the quietness and rest of a new mom and a new baby.
She was strong to run into difficult challenges long before the birth, to explore her options, to educate herself, to ask questions, to have faith in Nature and trust her body.
The moment right now is loaded with great value. It is in the present when we make decisions and go forward. You can choose to take action, and use the value of the moment, or choose to do nothing and forever leave the abundant treasure of the now behind.
Decide to accept the bountiful opportunity that is available to you in the present. Let go of any excuses, and make the moment that you are in real, effective, purposeful and filled with real action.
