Childbirth care in the hospital is compromised. More and more medical professionals are becoming aware that the medical procedure in the hospital is not condusive to a calm and safe birth. Even though the medical intervention can safe lives or babies and moms, often it causes more problems to healthy mom and baby by eleviating the level of stress.
A nurse who had a breech baby decided to give birth at home with a midwife. Even though she was afraid, she knew this was the best option for her and the baby. Changing her position to upright and squatting made it possible to give birth to a breech baby without any anastesia, medical interventions or cesarean. Could this be possible in the hospital, nowadays?
