Childbirth Video Clip

Watching positive childbirth video clip can give you a confidence that no other preparation can give.

In recent years, we are lucky to have some professional inspiring childbirth videos which show the true nature of birth as a celebration of life in a natural way. Earlier childbirth video clips mainly showed hospital medicalized births and personally I felt that this is not the birth I would like.

Currently you can find a lot of short childbirth videos shared in the online video communities. You can even contact the mothers themselves and receive encouragement, ask questions and feel supported in your choices.

Well produced videos by midwives and families are also on the market. There you can find powerful images of birthing women in calm supportive, environments. For me these were a great source of information and encouragement.

Seeing a woman trusting her body and allowing the miracle of birth to happen with the flow of nature, as birth is meant to be is a great support and inspiration for any mother-to-be.

Childbirth Resources

Spiritual Midwifery Book

The classic book on home birth is now available in a new edition, with updated information on the safety of natural childbirth, new birthing stories, and the most recent statistics on births managed by The Farm Midwives. Included are stories of working with Amish women, shedding light on a different culture with a similar appreciation for natural childbirth. Ina May also provides new information about potentially dangerous techniques routinely used in hospitals during and after birth, as well as the latest findings about VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean). Improved instructions for handling breech births are also given. When the first edition of Spiritual Midwifery was published in 1976, it introduced an entire generation of young women to the possibility of home birth and breast feeding. It also breathed new life into the all-but-vanished field of midwifery.
