Childbirth Video

Childbirth video is sometimes a contradictory issue. Some women want to see how others have given birth to gain reassurance and get rid of their fears. Others see them as too intimate and do not think it is proper such an experience to be shared with others openly in directories like YouTube or Google Video.

Both, however, sense the innate sexual nature of birth. A childbirth video presents a very instinctive primitive part of our nature. It is beautiful, in the way wild nature is beautiful, but also frightening. In the civilized world we have learned to be cultivated and presentable. This unconscious animalistic part of ourselves is hidden, caged and thrown away.

Explore your attitude to a childbirth video. You might discover attached to it some fear related to your innate nature. Being human, we are nevertheless, connected with nature. Going far away from the other mammals in our intellectual development and giving up a lot of our instincts, we still possess them.

Natural birth if experience in its fullest makes us aware of our animal nature. It is deep, powerful, empowering, awesome and frightening.

Overcoming our fear of childbirth is closely related to accepting the darker parts of ourselves, which are also glorious. If we know how to celebrate them, allow them to be as they are and confront the public fear of our essence, we can regain a great deal of our power, and extend it beyond childbirth into many of our activities.

I wish you a happy childbirth and courage. Find it within and manifest it outward.

You can make miracles if you build your inner strength with keeping yourself fit through pilates in pregnancy, yoga, belly dance and anything that makes you celebrate your body.

Also, when you tune to your best birthing option, consider the different choices available.

Childbirth Resources

Spiritual Midwifery Book

The classic book on home birth is now available in a new edition, with updated information on the safety of natural childbirth, new birthing stories, and the most recent statistics on births managed by The Farm Midwives. Included are stories of working with Amish women, shedding light on a different culture with a similar appreciation for natural childbirth. Ina May also provides new information about potentially dangerous techniques routinely used in hospitals during and after birth, as well as the latest findings about VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean). Improved instructions for handling breech births are also given. When the first edition of Spiritual Midwifery was published in 1976, it introduced an entire generation of young women to the possibility of home birth and breast feeding. It also breathed new life into the all-but-vanished field of midwifery.
