We can read stories and hear the mothers from the neighbourhood tell us about their birth experiences, but we do not have an idea what it is really like until it happens to us.
Having access to childbirth videos makes it possible to see for ourselves how birthing happens in the hospital, at home, in water. We can listen to comments of women who have gone before us and share their wisdom.
Use them and see for yourself what the effect is. Professional videos are a good option, because they give the background information. Yet, there are a lot of free clips which can give us an idea of what childbirth is like in different settings. We can see actual birth and know what to expect.
This makes it much easier to list our options and choose the best one.
