And can you imagine how male fertility and sex are not always boosted by Trying-To-Conceive ladies? Think of guys & sex -- wow -- they are always ready. No need of special preparation, no foreplay. The time, the place do not seem to matter much. Yet, when I got serious about the baby and created a schedule and started charting, suddenly Mr. Always Horny was Mr. Not Tonight. Sex was an obligation -- a real chore and no fun.

I was absolutely stunned, when he said no, but then I looked around and found out that it was a normal reaction, once sex become a must. Not only that, but it seems that with all the nerves and scheduling, and my baby fever which was at all time high, the stress was too much to increase fertility and sex.

Regular sex is the best way to get pregnant, but not when he has to do it, just going to go with the flow.

 

Charting and planning for best time for fertility and sex is great, but the most important is to relax, to have fun, to enjoy life and do NOt tell him when he has to have sex.

It is good to figure out the optimum time for fertility and sex. Trying for a baby every other day, or every two days, might work fine. If you are having sex everyday, there is not time for your partner to recharge. It can damage the quality of the sperm and he might refuse, because it is sometimes too much and your energy has lost the playfulness of sex when you go with the flow.

Even if you are trying for a baby, there should be no pressure, no should's, had to, when to. Relaxing and letting yourself having fun is a big part of the process. It will happen when you least expect it.

Going to infertility treatments, doctor appointments, shots, meds, ultrasounds and Doctor's telling you to have sex is a sure way to drain the joy out of sex. When you just let it happen, when it happen.

We Trying-To-Conceive ladies, often get so obsessed and crazy. We do the fertility diet, the charting, the planning, even " the pillow under the hips for XX minutes", doing all the tricks when we are trying to get pregnant.

I can look back now and chuckle, but at the time, I was cranky.
