Giving Birth VideoThe experience of giving birth was somehow unknown and remote from the common experience of people. Being something we all go through in one way or another, it seemed to be veiled as a secret ritual. Medical professionals were granted the privilege to witness it and guide it, but in this process, birth became more and more controlled. It lost its natural power, and became too assisted. Having more and more women giving birth in the hospital, there needed to be some order. The chaos started to be controlled by medical procedures, inducement, c-sections, monitoring, broking women's waters, taking our too quickly the placenta.
Having these giving birth video available becomes easier now to shift those view to the true essence of birth as a process of nature. Just as the growing of the baby in the womb is natural, and there is no need of special help, because life develops by itself, in the same way giving birth in 95% of the case can be natural without assistance and intervention. This video is making women alert to their abilities to give birth and helps us to release any fears.

Childbirth ResourcesThe classic book on home birth is now available in a new edition, with updated information on the safety of natural childbirth, new birthing stories, and the most recent statistics on births managed by The Farm Midwives. Included are stories of working with Amish women, shedding light on a different culture with a similar appreciation for natural childbirth. Ina May also provides new information about potentially dangerous techniques routinely used in hospitals during and after birth, as well as the latest findings about VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean). Improved instructions for handling breech births are also given. When the first edition of Spiritual Midwifery was published in 1976, it introduced an entire generation of young women to the possibility of home birth and breast feeding. It also breathed new life into the all-but-vanished field of midwifery. Click here to view this product!ShopShare this SiteSearch the SiteSuggestionsYour Donations Keep aChildbirth.com running!
