Effeciveness, advantages and dangers

The best way to measure the effectiveness of hypnosis for childbirth and pain reduction is to try it and feel how well it suites you. People who like hypnosis usually have very good results. The effectiveness of the hypnosis to a great extent depends on the openness of the user and the willingness to have progress. You will just have to try it and find out how well it works for you.

Scientist found that you can have hypnosis, suggestion or placebo effects with similar results. Theodore Barber has found that a request is enough for some people to produce remarkable changes, such as changing the temperature or heart rate. The power of our mind is truly great and it can create real changes in our body.

I personally think that it is best to use self-hypnosis or recorded audio hypnosis with scripts, instead of attending a hypnotist. It is important to have control of the process. Hypnosis should not be used for regression in previous lives, or age-regression or probing traumatic experiences. The images that emerge may have nothing to do with reality.

Self-hypnosis is easy to learn, it lets you be your own master, and it can be used whenever you need it with. Self-hypnosis is not dangerous when used for well defined purpose for positive attitude change.

Spiritual Midwifery Book

The classic book on home birth is now available in a new edition, with updated information on the safety of natural childbirth, new birthing stories, and the most recent statistics on births managed by The Farm Midwives. Included are stories of working with Amish women, shedding light on a different culture with a similar appreciation for natural childbirth. Ina May also provides new information about potentially dangerous techniques routinely used in hospitals during and after birth, as well as the latest findings about VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean). Improved instructions for handling breech births are also given. When the first edition of Spiritual Midwifery was published in 1976, it introduced an entire generation of young women to the possibility of home birth and breast feeding. It also breathed new life into the all-but-vanished field of midwifery.
