Live Child Birth Videos

Live child birth videos show how each birth is as unique as the woman giving birth and the baby being born.

Childbirth is a reflection of a woman's thoughts, emotional level, spiritual aspirations and physical condition. Homebirth enhances bonding of mother and baby. It is very helpful in the initiation of breastfeeding. Often after a natural homebirth, mothers experience a 'high', which they describe as ecstasy, orgasm, joy. It is the result of the body's natural endorphins produced during labor. Women giving birth at home, often unassisted, feel mastery and self-confidence - "I did that, I can do anything!" These feelings help the mother to tap into her instinctual knowledge of taking care of the newborn and buoy her through the challenges of early parenthood.

Giving birth at home, as we can see in the live child birth videos, avoids potential harmful effects of drugs, used for pain relief in a managed childbirth at hospitals.

Take the responsibility for your childbirth experience. Educate yourself reading books, watching live child birth videos, attending childbirth preparation classes and talking to women who have given a home birth or a water birth. Understand the energy dynamics of childbirth. Feel your body; watch your thoughts and emotions. Consciously steer yourself towards the best possible experience for you and your baby.

Tune to your body through yoga, swimming, gentle stretching, dancing. Get proper nutrition and enough rest. Being fit is a prerequisite for a pleasant and enjoyable birth experience. Movement will help you to tune in to what is happening inside.

Childbirth Resources

Spiritual Midwifery Book

The classic book on home birth is now available in a new edition, with updated information on the safety of natural childbirth, new birthing stories, and the most recent statistics on births managed by The Farm Midwives. Included are stories of working with Amish women, shedding light on a different culture with a similar appreciation for natural childbirth. Ina May also provides new information about potentially dangerous techniques routinely used in hospitals during and after birth, as well as the latest findings about VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean). Improved instructions for handling breech births are also given. When the first edition of Spiritual Midwifery was published in 1976, it introduced an entire generation of young women to the possibility of home birth and breast feeding. It also breathed new life into the all-but-vanished field of midwifery.
