Online Childbirth Videos

Online childbirth videos are food for dreamers. 'All men who have achieved great things have been great dreamers.'

- Orison Swett Marden –

Do you think that childbirth is a candidate for being one of those “great things”. Many people would say – No! Childbirth is not a woman’s achievement. It is the achievement of the hospital staff, the advancement of medicine, and the achievement of nature. I agree. Yet childbirth is something which women experience, and we are not just passive recipients of medical services or channels of nature. Childbirth is to a great extent shaped by our thoughts, emotions, unconscious and conscious wishes, fears, beliefs and hopes.

Be aware of the ocean of tides in your mind and heart. Be clear about what is going within you and take the responsibility for a joyful and rewarding birth. Embrace birth and allow it to be. There is nothing more natural than that, it might not be an everyday process, but this does not make it less natural and easy. Our bodies are made for giving birth. For millions of years the process of birth has perfected and now we are much more able to give birth than ever before. Have faith in your body, connect with your spiritual resources, be inspired and courageous and you will have the best birth you could possibly have.

I consider it essential for mothers-to-be to read childbirth stories, watch online childbirth videos, read books and consult practitioners to be informed and aware of the process of birth. Feel in your heart what is best for you and be committed to it. Your own childbirth experience is worth all the efforts.

Childbirth Resources

Spiritual Midwifery Book

The classic book on home birth is now available in a new edition, with updated information on the safety of natural childbirth, new birthing stories, and the most recent statistics on births managed by The Farm Midwives. Included are stories of working with Amish women, shedding light on a different culture with a similar appreciation for natural childbirth. Ina May also provides new information about potentially dangerous techniques routinely used in hospitals during and after birth, as well as the latest findings about VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean). Improved instructions for handling breech births are also given. When the first edition of Spiritual Midwifery was published in 1976, it introduced an entire generation of young women to the possibility of home birth and breast feeding. It also breathed new life into the all-but-vanished field of midwifery.
