Eat a balanced diet and begin taking prenatal vitamins, especially folic acid, before you conceive to make sure that the developing baby will be getting all the nutrition it needs. Your doctor can prescribe these vitamins during your pre-pregnancy exam. So we have some tips to for developing a pregnancy nutrition diet plan. Ideally, you must follow a food calorie list for more information on the diet. You need some extra calories during your pregnancy time. At the time of breast feeding, you need some 500 extra calories. Your diet must contain ‘healthy calorie’. By that we mean that your diet should contain fruits and vegetables to serve you some extra amount of calorie. Generally five or six fruit servings are enough to fulfill that need. If you are suffering from sugar, you must consult with a doctor or a dietician and request him to make a diet chart for you which will be according to your needs. You need to consume more protein during pregnancy. Take some foods that are rich in protein. Meat, eggs and fish are very good source of protein. If you are strictly vegetarian, you can consume soybean. Soybean is extremely rich in protein. It can fulfill your protein needs very easily.

Childbirth ResourcesThe classic book on home birth is now available in a new edition, with updated information on the safety of natural childbirth, new birthing stories, and the most recent statistics on births managed by The Farm Midwives. Included are stories of working with Amish women, shedding light on a different culture with a similar appreciation for natural childbirth. Ina May also provides new information about potentially dangerous techniques routinely used in hospitals during and after birth, as well as the latest findings about VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean). Improved instructions for handling breech births are also given.
