It is worth filming a birth and I am grateful to all mothers who did so. The eye of the camera might be an intervention, especially when there is a need of extra light. The sky-rocketing c-section rate has led to an increase in both maternal and infant deaths. Please remember this if you think hospital birth is for you."

There are a lot of pregnancies that aren't right for free birthing, but those pregnancies are usually detected early on and considered "at risk" or "high risk". Usually these women know their risks before hand. Just like you don't need to tell your body how to create a baby, you don't need to tell it how to deliver. I wish this option were available more. "
