Vaginal Birth Video Clips
Yet we are all viewing vaginal birth video clips from the vintage point of our experience. If we can be true to ourselves, and go deeper, we will see that our reaction is not to something outside, but to something inside. Being afraid of the natural process of birth is a sign of feeling the insecurity of the process to succumb to power greater than the mind. Birth is incomprehensible and incontrollable by the mind. Having evolved so much, we are afraid to be again less than thinking, less than rational, practical, in control. We are afraid of the unpredictable. Birth is in itself unpredictable when natural and spontaneous. We can plan it and attract the best possible experience we can imagine, but it comes and is unique. We cannot command it. It is just an extension of the growing of the baby in the womb, which we could not command. Yet, we trusted it and gave it our best hopes and faith. Birth is not different. It is an automatic vegetative process, in which the mind has a little role. But being human the mind wants a share of every experience. The best thing we can do is to let it know that it is safe and the process is perfect as it is. To calm down our thoughts and just relax, to let nature take over and do its part. It is great to experience the might of nature at this moment, its strong grip. A woman in a vaginal birth is like a sea shell in the ocean. The waves are strong, undulating and we are just floating into them.

Childbirth ResourcesThe classic book on home birth is now available in a new edition, with updated information on the safety of natural childbirth, new birthing stories, and the most recent statistics on births managed by The Farm Midwives. Included are stories of working with Amish women, shedding light on a different culture with a similar appreciation for natural childbirth. Ina May also provides new information about potentially dangerous techniques routinely used in hospitals during and after birth, as well as the latest findings about VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean). Improved instructions for handling breech births are also given. When the first edition of Spiritual Midwifery was published in 1976, it introduced an entire generation of young women to the possibility of home birth and breast feeding. It also breathed new life into the all-but-vanished field of midwifery. Click here to view this product!ShopShare this SiteSearch the SiteSuggestionsYour Donations Keep aChildbirth.com running!
