Being aware of our reactions to these different births we can more clearly understand our predispositions. This makes our choices informed and more mature. The chance to see so many options makes us aware that even if the medical and legal system is rigid and has prescribed a few paths for the woman giving birth, the reality is different. We are free to choose and be the decision-makers of our own experience and the welcoming of our baby into the world.

Bureaucracy exists everywhere, and even though it is intruding, it cannot hurt an independent and aware mother-to-be. Nature in itself is stronger than institutions. Birth is the dance of nature. The creative impulse not as a poetic expression, but as a thorough body experience.

I am grateful to all who share videos of women in childbirth. These videos are a great source of inspiration and education. They provoke us to relate to our deepest self and be clear about the options in childbirth.
